Magnat MR 780 Hybrid Hi-Fi Stereo Amplifier Black (Unit)
The MR 780 stereo receiver follows the unique Magnat hybrid concept: Operating in the pre-amplifier stage are two selected, burned-out ECC 81 valves, which provide the entire system with the warm, sonorous sounds that hi-fi fans have come to appreciate. The powerful, discreetly designed transistor output stage produces 100 Watts of RMS power per channel into 4 ohms. Here again, the voltages for all the individual circuits have been elaborately stabilized. In this way, the MR 780 combines perfect sound and maximum power for an optimal overall effect and first class high quality sound.
Multiple Connection Options including Bluetooth
In addition to high-quality amplification, the MR 780 also offers great convenience and flexibility: Signals are received from the stereo receiver via 5 high-level inputs or 2 optical and 2 coaxial digital inputs. There's also a 3.5mm jack input on the front for mobile devices. Even more convenient is the direct wireless connection via Bluetooth 4.0 with aptX. The wide range of connection options on the MR 780 is completed by a particularly high-quality phono pre-amp stage for MM systems as well as a USB audio 2.0 input. The conversion of all digital signals up to 24 bits / 192 kHz is handled by a high-quality D / A converter from Wolfson. The integrated DAB/DAB+ digital tuner as well as the FM tuner with RDS and radio text extend what is already a wide range of functions even further. Users can find all important information at any time on a large two-line display on the front of the receiver.

Despite its slim dimensions, the Aurora 700 3-way bass reflex speaker with its dual bass configuration is capable of producing explosive acoustic performance. The Aurora 700 features bass and mid-range drivers with ultra-light HECO kraft paper cones, which have been optimized to ensure distortion-free performance, a newly developed Fluktus tweeter, which features a 28mm silk dome and is optimized to ensure perfect dispersion properties. It uses all these components to achieve a sound pressure rating of 92 dB, which means it is not far behind the flagship model, namely the Aurora 1000. The modern wood decoration is combined with an “ebony black” or “ivory white” finish, silk high quality matte lacquer applied to the top and front of the speaker. Together with the magnetically mounted front grille, the Aurora 700 creates a look that is very modern yet timelessly elegant.

Superbly crafted stereo speaker cable wrapped in a mini coil. This speaker cable is suitable for amplifier outputs of up to approximately 120 watts of power per amplifier channel. The use of oxygen-free silver-plated copper (OFC) as the conductive material ensures that an extremely clear and true sound can be achieved with this speaker cable. Using silver to enhance this cable helps further improve treble reproduction. The cable is also made of very many very thin copper wires – each individual wire has a cross-section of about 0.125 mm. This complex design means the cable is highly conductive and flexible throughout its length.
