The Directed DSM550i SmartStart Pro 4G LTE GPS Module allows you to use your smartphone not only to start your car remotely, but to locate it, lock or unlock it and more using the Directed SmartStart app. However, for remote start, your car must already be equipped with a compatible remote start system. SmartStart Pro is optimized for use with the innovative Directed DS4 / DS4 + platform and offers blazing speed with 4G LTE connectivity and a futureproof design to ensure support for new features as they are developed. Uses a simplified 1-piece wiring for faster, cleaner installations. The unit is plug compatible with existing installations.

1 to 3 year subscription required for a SmartStart Secure or GPS Premium service plan. For example, safe features include showing the car's location and will notify you if it moves from a specified location. Upgrading to the Premium service plan also allows you to set up a geo-fence zone or alert you if you enter a restricted zone. The app itself also displays the status of your car – such as locked, armed, running or door open.
