Product Description
Audiodesigner ECOBAFFLE Square Sound Absorbing Ceiling Panels 100x100cm Gray
The technical term "baffles" usually describes sound absorption units that are installed vertically on the ceiling.
This particular installation method directly exposes both sides of it to sound waves, increasing its sound absorption properties: for this reason, these units are commonly called double-sided absorbers.
Diaphragm panels are usually installed following a regular pattern of parallel lines and with a fixed distance between units, designed according to the required acoustic results.
Audiodesigner offers an innovative line of baffle absorption, called ECOBAFFLE, suitable for the acoustic treatment of large collective spaces and industrial facilities, where efficiency and economy are required.
ECOBAFFLE acoustic absorbers are entirely made of PET polyester fiber, the surfaces of which are treated with a special thermal smoothing process to improve the aesthetic finishes and structural strength of the material.
They are available in three colors: white, gray and black.
Thickness: 40mm
TECHNICAL DESIGN SPECIFICATIONS FOR FACILITIES
When evaluating the reduction in reverberation time, it is necessary to take into account the significant contribution of diffraction (due to the vertical installation of the baffle panels) and the double sound-absorbing effect, which results from exposing both sides of the panel to sound waves.
Therefore, taking into account these improved acoustic performances, it is possible to reduce the number of diaphragm absorbers
A 20% reduction in the amount of ECOBAFFLE needed is usually recommended, compared to standard wall and ceiling installations.
ECOBAFFLE panels are also available for wall and ceiling mounting with suspension or attachment, in the product variant called ECOPLAN.
ECOBAFFLE acoustic panels are suitable for reducing the reverberation of any environment:
INDUSTRY
The implementation of acoustic treatments in noisy industrial facilities is not so simple, because the noises are generally produced by machines that cannot be acoustically isolated. Indeed, it is not always possible to act directly on the source of the noise, as you cannot create soundproof partitions around the individual production units.
In these cases, the most adopted solution consists of installing suspended absorbers on the ceiling to control the reverberation of the room, reducing the sound reflections produced on the surfaces and the general sound level.
ECOBAFFLEs are recommended for the acoustic treatment of large industrial facilities and for production lines in any manufacturing context.
COLLECTIVE SPACES
ECOBAFFLE absorbers represent the ideal solution for the reverberation control of collective spaces, providing a significant reduction in reverberation time values (RT30 – RT60).
The acoustic treatment of a space was traditionally carried out with total wall and ceiling absorption to place as much material as possible: the introduction of vertical placement of baffles on the ceiling, let it be in a greater amount of sound-absorbing material compared to the surfaces of the room.
In addition, this technical solution introduced the acoustic principle of diffraction, which increases the normal sound-absorbing performance of the panels.
The ECOBAFFLE acoustic system is suitable for the acoustic treatment of large volume spaces such as multifunctional rooms, conference rooms, auditoriums, classrooms, sports centers, gymnasiums, swimming pools, auditoriums, exhibition spaces and museums in historic or new buildings.
Why choose ECOBAFFLE panels?
• PERFORMANCE – High acoustic performance, thanks to the special quality of the ECOBAFFLE polyester fiber from which it is made and due to the absence of a reflective element, they are generally used for baffles made with a rigid perimeter frame.
• ECONOMY – The automated production process and the elimination of any unnecessary part make the ECOBAFFLE one of the most cost-effective acoustic solutions available on the market.
• SIMPLE INSTALLATION – Easy to mount on the ceiling with the included mounting kit requiring only two mounting points.
• LIGHTWEIGHT – Eliminating any additional structural element, the panels weigh less than 2 Kg/mq in the standard version with a density of 45 Kg/mc and a thickness of 40 mm.
• DURABILITY – Polyester ECOBAFFLE fibers are engineered to make these panels unaltered over time in any thermal condition from -50 to + 100 °C, suitable for 100% saturated humidity, (and saline type) environments, resistant to chemical agents (main acids, salts, hydrocarbons), fungi, bacteria and microorganisms, water repellent and odorless.
• HEALTH – No synthetic mineral fibers (petrowool and glass wool) are used to produce ECOBAFFLE panels and the adopted material does not contain formaldehyde, eliminating any possibility of dispersal of inhalable dust into the environment.
• ECONOMIC COMPATIBILITY – ECOBAFFLE panels are made entirely from recyclable polyester fibres, reducing waste disposal costs.
• SAFETY – Considering the absence of rigid parts, the ECOBAFFLE is extremely safe even in case of an accidental fall due to any impact or improper installation. In addition, the panels are fire resistant and certified according to UNI 9177 Class 1 and UNI EN 13501-1:2009 Euroclass B-s2-d0. If required, European fire protection certification (B-s2-d0) is also available for both surfaces exposed to fire.
• AESTHETICS – ECOBAFFLE's special rounded corners and nylon cable suspension system make these panels suitable even for installations in prestigious environments.
• FUNCTIONALITY – The specific vertical placement of the baffles does not create any obstacle to air circulation in the spaces and does not require updating the existing air or heating systems. In addition, diaphragm installations do not create a visual closure of the roof or modify natural/artificial lighting systems.
